How about some PING-PONG?Here we are not talking about a game of table tennis, but rather about the back-and-forth principle of the game which is also used in i-You. When playing table tennis with a partner, if you hit the ball across to them and they will return it to you. In the same sense, if you ask someone a question in most cases, they will give you an answer. We call this a PING-PONG situation.
In i-You, dialogue situations are presented as topics such as Hotel, Essentials, Restaurant, and many more. Within these topics there are phrases and even more subtopics to choose from. Such a selection of phrases is called a PING situation or page. Once you select a phrase a new page is produced which displays the translation of the phrase you selected and gives probable answers for your dialogue partners. This is called the PONG page since it is now your partnersa€? turn. Simply allow them to read the phrase or listen to it and then let your partner choose from the given responses. Once they tap on an answer, it will be translated back into your language so you will know what they said.
