Expo 2010: i-You at the “German-Chinese House”

On May 1, the opening day of the World Expo in Shanghai, Dr. Feiyu Xu, Yocoy’s CEO, met with the German ambassador and director of the Germany-China task group Wolfgang Röhr at the “German-Chinese House”. This building located near the German pavilion “balancity” is part of the three-year event series “Germany and China – Moving Ahead Together”, which was held in China, to further the image of Germany as an innovative, forward-looking country and cultivate mutual understanding as the basis for successful cooperation.

Dr. Röhr was given a demonstration of i-You, the Yocoy developed language assistant for iPhone and iPod touch.

The developers from Yocoy were already confident that their app i-You is pretty cool. And they are not the only ones. Telefon.de, one of the leading online shopping sites in the area of telecommunication, recently added i-You Mandarin to their online shopping-blog's "cool apps" section.

IPhone with i-You


DFKI spin-off Yocoy exhibits i-You at CeBIT 2010

At CeBIT, the largest European IT trade fair (March 2-6), Yocoy presented its new i-Phone app i-You Mandarin at the booth of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). i-You is a mobile translation software for i-Phone and iPod touch. Yocoy employees demonstrated the newly released product that attracted visitors from numerous countries. The idea and implementation of this mobile language assistant was well received by visitors from business and science.

One of the visitors was the Berlin Senator for Economics, Technology and Women’s Issues Harald Wolf who was given a demo of Yocoy’s first product i-You Mandarin by Prof. Wolfgang Wahlster C.E.O. of DFKI and Dr. Feiyu Xu, Yocoy C.E.O. Yocoy is one of the over 50 spin-off companies from the DFKI and the most recent Berlin offshoot.
