Many Tongues

While growing up most people learn and speak one language: their first or native language which they are most fluent in. Learning a secondary (foreign) language usually involves longterm studying and can take years until communication with native speakers of that language is possible. Yocoy products offer the user the comfort of being able to communicate despite the obvious language barrier.

Translation from one language into another is like moving from one place to a new location, hence the names source language and target or destination language are used for one-way or bidirectional translation of two languages. Such a combination is also called a language pair.

In its first release i-You features English to Chinese translation. Although not spoken by the majority of the world population, English is considered to be the world language or current "lingua franca". More language pairs will become available in future Yocoy products.
